• Mi Favorita (408 Columbia, near 17th) • Santa Fe (977 Butternut Dr.) • La Providencia (372 W. 16th) • La Consentida (676 Michigan Ave, near 26th) Go in these stores and check out the unique candy, food items, and if your stomach can handle it, the different pieces of raw meat! Everything from pig's feet to cow's tongues can be found. Their breads and cakes are also delicious. If you have a dollar, buy something fun that you've never tried before! |
Eventos (Events):
Attending events centered around the Latino culture is an excellent way to experience Spanish. Listen to music and conversations in Spanish, and I challenge you to have a small conversation in Spanish yourself! You might be nervous at first, but after a few times it will come more easily and people are most often very willing to help you practice.
