Find something that is fun for YOU in Spanish... maybe you like animals or cars, sports or farms, video games or movies. Whatever it is, try it in Spanish! Doing something you like in Spanish is a great way to get better at Spanish and have fun all at the same time.

It's important not to worry if you make a mistake in Spanish. We all make mistakes. The only way to get better is to practice, practice, practice! Don't be afraid to try a new word or phrase in Spanish. This is how we learn!
- Online Games are a quick and easy way to have fun in Spanish.
- Music is a fun way to hear Spanish.
- Movies are an excellent way to hear a little more Spanish. Watch a familiar movie in Spanish or add Spanish subtitles to a movie in English!
- If available, watch a TV Show in Spanish.
- Books in Spanish are engaging if you enjoy reading.
- Rhymes are fun to say in Spanish.
- Tongue Twisters in Spanish are a challenge - if you're up for it!
- Friends are fun to practice Spanish with too. Call up a friend from class and see how long you can talk just in Spanish, or go with a friend to a Mexican/Latino restaurant or store and practice your Spanish there. Sometimes there are Hispanic festivals going on that you can check out too!
Here are a few more fun ideas for practicing Spanish:
- If you are up for it, meet a native Spanish speaker and ask if they will practice with you. Usually people are more than willing to help!
- When you see something around your house that you know in Spanish, say it in Spanish. (papel, lápiz, tijeras, silla, mesa...)
- Find a Spanish/English dictionary (a book or online) and look up words for fun.
- Make Spanish labels for things around your bedroom or house (hang a sign that says "cama" by your bed, and put one that says "zapatos" by your shoes).
- Find out more about Spanish-Speaking Countries. What foods do they eat? What is their weather like? What is the national sport?
- See pictures and read about Cultural Traditions and Holidays celebrated in Spanish-speaking countries. Fiestas are a big deal!
- Teach your mom, dad, grandpa, grandma, sister, brother, aunt, uncle,
cousin, neighbor, dog, cat, or goldfish and it will help you with your
Spanish too!
